This PPT seeks to view the different types of Utilitarianism (other then Act and Rule). It includes: Preference Negative Ideal And it also includes philosopher bios and evaluation of the theories as well as relevant AO2 focussed tasks. Goes well with my other Utilitarian resource.

Act and Rule Utilitarianism

(0)
This is a thorough run through of the theories of Bentham and Mill (Act and Rule Utilitarianism). It includes the hedonic calculus and comes with an application sheet aimed to show the pupils how to apply it to real life situations. I ask my pupils to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the hedonic calculus as they find it takes a long time to complete when they do it properly! This goes well with the ‘other types of utilitarianism’ which can be bought separately or in a bundle, depending on the needs of the customer. Enjoy!

Ethical Language - Meta Ethics (A Level RS/Philosophy and Ethics

(0)
A comprehensive PPT, relevant to all Meta Ethics/Ethical Language units, which seeks to help pupils understand the importance of the discussion surrounding the use of the words in ethics. The learning objective for this lesson is 'is ethical language meaningless?'. The PPT is aimed at middle to high ability and can be run over a series of lessons alongside other material in text books etc.
Hinduism: Brahman and Atman

Hinduism: Brahman and Atman

(0)
This is a lesson on Brahman and Atman. It focusses on the issue of manifestation and the link between the ultimate questions of Hinduism and the challenging concept of Brahman. There is also a extension challenge 'take it further' task attached as well as a lesson plan. This was used for an official observation and was deemed excellent. It is pitched for high ability year 7s but would suit year 8,9 or GCSE (with some tinkering) too. Resources that would go well with this is 'Play Doh' and water with salt (for the analogy). Enjoy!

These great revision tools enable pupils to revise content, key words and quotes. They can be used alongside a unit or in revision in the run up to the exam. All my students have given good feedback about using them. I often give them these sheets with missing boxes to test learning or ask them to form points and development from a quote. Works well with all abilities

This is a knowledge organiser that is used for a scheme of work I use for ‘Religion and the Media’. It is an excellent revision tool and can be used for GCSE or KS3. If not in line with the buyers SOW it can be edited or used as extra reading. Thanks and enjoy!

Life after death - The boy who lived before

This worksheet was created to accompany a YouTube clip called 'the boy who lived before'. This clip is found below and tells the story of a boy in Scotland who believes he can remember his past life. The pupils always compelled by this lesson and the worksheet enables excellent structure for the lesson. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Wh0OsVtdeE
